James Gray Bio
James Gray is an American film director, producer, and screenwriter who is best known for numerous Hollywood films like Ad Astra, We Own the Night, and The Lost City of Z. He began his career in the early ‘90s when he directed the crime film Little Odessa. He is best known for his production work on the adventure film Ad Astra which features Brad Pitt, Tommy Lee Jones, Ruth Negga, and Donald Sutherland. He has received a lot of recognition for his work including a Silver Lion Award at the Venice Film Festival, an award for Outstanding Achievement in Directing at the Newport Beach Film Festival, three awards at the Faro Island Film Festival for Best Motion Picture of the Year, Best Film, and Best Director, and four Palme d'Or nominations at the Cannes Film Festival.
