James Norton Bio
James Norton is an English actor born in London, England on July 18, 1985. He is best known for his roles in the British television series Happy Valley, War & Peace, McMafia, and Grantchester. Norton attended college at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge and was a member of the Marlowe Society theatre club. He went on to attend the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. While in college Norton had roles in a number of theatre productions. In 2009 he made his debut in film in the movie An Education and continued landing roles in the films Belle, Rush, Mr. Turner, Hampstead, Flatliners, Hero, Mr. Jones, Little Women, Bonobo, Northmen: A Viking Saga, and Cheerful Weather for the Wedding. He made his debut on television in 2012 in the show Inspector George Gently and has since had roles in the shows Restless, Blandings, Doctor Who, Happy Valley, By Any Means, To Walk Invincible, Life in Squares, War & Peace, Grantchester, Death Comes to Pemberley and more. Throughout his career he has been nominated for several awards and has won a Crime Thriller Award, a Glamour Award, and a GQ Man Of The Year Award.
