James TW Bio
James Taylor-Watts was born on October 27, 1997 in Warwickshire, England. James’ interest in music was nurtured at a fairly young age. His first live performance was at the age of 10 when he filled in for the drummer in his father’s band at a wedding. James created his YouTube channel at the age of 12 to share his music with the world. His self-released single Just A Number made it to the top 10 Itunes singer/songwriter charts in 2014. The following year Shawn Mendes discovered him on social media. Later in 2015 Island Records signed James onto their label. He released his debut EP, First Impressions, in 2016 that got 17 million streams on Spotify. He served as the opening act on Shawn Mendes’ Illuminate World Tour(2017).
