Jane Danson Bio
Jane Elizabeth Dawson, better known as Jane Danson, is an English actress who was born on November 8th, 1978, in the town of Bury, Greater Manchester. She became well-known for her role as Leanne Battersby in the ITV soap opera “Coronation Street”, which she played between the years 1997 and 2000, and then began portraying the role once more beginning in 2004. Other television shows on which she has appeared include “The Grand”, “The Bill”, and “Children's Ward”. As a result of her work in “Coronation Street”, Danson was honored with the British Soap Award for Best Dramatic Performance in 2011. She also received nominations for the 1998 National Television Awards.
