Jawbreaker is a seminal punk rock band renowned for their raw energy, introspective lyrics, and distinctive blend of punk, emo, and alternative rock. The group was formed in 1986 in New York City.
Comprising Blake Schwarzenbach (vocals/guitar), Chris Bauermeister (bass), and Adam Pfahler (drums), the band quickly gained a devoted following with their debut album "Unfun", establishing themselves as a cornerstone of the underground punk scene. In 1992, their sophomore release, "Bivouac", further solidified their reputation for passionate songwriting and intense live performances. However, it was their third album, "24 Hour Revenge Therapy", that propelled them to wider recognition, with its emotionally charged lyrics and melodic punk anthems. Their discography also includes the hit singles “Accident Prone”, “Boxcar”, “Want”, “Do You Still Hate Me”, “Fireman”, “Save Your Generation”, and “The Boat Dreams from the Hill.“
Through personnel changes and multiple hiatuses, the band continues to release and tour internationally.
