Jharrel Jerome Bio
Jharrel Jerome is an American actor. He was born on the 9th October, 1997 in the Bronx, New York. After Jerome enrolled as an undergraduate at Ithaca College, he was cast in his first professional acting role in 2016, in the Barry Jenkins's acclaimed drama film Moonlight, as young Kevin. The movie won the Academy Award for Best Picture. In 2017, Jerome appeared in the Audience series “Mr. Mercedes”. After, in 2019 he portray Korey Wise in Ava DuVernay's Netflix miniseries “When They See Us”, for the latter, he won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie and the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Actor in a Movie/Miniseries. Also in 2019, he appeared in the television series “Live in Front of a Studio Audience”.
