Jo Brand Bio

Jo Brand is a comedian and actress born on 23rd July 1957 in London, England. Before starting her comedy career, she worked as a psychiatric nurse. She began her career with the British alternative comedy in the 1980s. She later appeared on the television show “Saturday Live.” In 2007, she narrated a tribute documentary to Les Dawson titled “Laughter & Tears: The Les Downson Story.” In August 2015, she was a judge in the Class Clowns competition.

Brand later appeared in her own series, “Jo Brand Through the Cakehole” which was aired on Channel 4. She later made guest appearances in the television shows “QI” and “Have I Got News for You.” In April 2009, she was a judge on the television series “The Speaker” alongside Jeremy Stockwell and John Amaechi. She was also a judge alongside Leon Taylor on the television show “Splash!” in January 2013 and 2014.
