John Slattery Bio

The renowned television actor John Slattery was born on August 13, 1962, in Boston, Massachusetts. On the popular AMC television programme Mad Men, John is best known for playing Roger Sterling. He got his first TV role on The Dirty Dozen in 1988 and has been consistently employed ever since. He has appeared in the short-lived television series Undercover, Homefront, Maggie, Feds, the miniseries A Woman of Independent Means with Sally Field and From the Earth to the Moon, where he played Walter Mondale. As Will's older brother "Sam" on Will & Grace, Amy's estranged husband in Judging Amy, and a sexy politician in Sex and the City, John has established himself as one of the most sought-after character actors. John made his debut in 1996's City Hall, a small part in his first feature film. Before achieving greater fame as a star of the television series Mad Men, he first made appearances in the films Eraser, Where's Marlowe?, Traffic, and the Anthony Hopkins/Chris Rock film Bad Company.
