John Talabot is a Catalan DJ, record producer and electronic musician. His real name is Oriol Riverola and he was born on the 8th of January, 1982, in Barcelona, Spain. He started recording music under the name d.a.r.y.l. before changing his stage name for the current one. He released his debut EP under Young Turks label in 2011, soon followed by his debut album “fIN” through the label Permanent Vacation. The album had a warm welcome among the critics and it received a five star review from The Guardian. In 2008, Riverola founded his own record label The Hivern, and since then, he has released records from artists such as Margot, Pional, and Marvin & Guy. In 2016, he released “Voices” a track which later was used for fashion brand Chanel as the soundtrack of an ad. Riverola has performed in several festivals and clubs and he is part of many musical projects including Lost Scripts and the NTS radio show “Music for Days Like This”.
