Jojo, born Joanna Noëlle Blagden Levesque was born in Brattleboro, Vermont and grew up in Massachusetts. As a child she audition for Kids Say the Darndest Things where Bill Cosby asked her to sing ‘Respect’ for the audience which got an amazing response. Oprah Winfrey asked her to appear on her show and following that she appeared at the Republican National Convention, with the Boston Celtics and on the Rosie O’Donnell show. she had an audition for America’s Most Talented Kids in 2003 where she met James Womack who signed her with Blackground records. Her debut album in 2004 featured the hit ‘Leave (Get Out), topping the Billboard charts. She released the album The High Road in 2006 which featured the single ‘Too Little, Too Late’. In 2010 she self-released a mixtape Can’t Take That Away From Me. In 2012 she released another mixtape Agape and went on tour. In 2013 she signed with Atlantic Records and went on to release 3 more EP’s.
