The Raveonettes Bio

The Raveonettes is an indie pop band from Copenhagen, Denmark formed in 2000 by Sharin Foo and Sune Rose Wagner, both guitarists and vocalists. Their debut album went out in 2002 in Europe under the name Whip It On with Crunchy Frog label. After presentations in New York, they signed with Columbia and released “The Chain Gang of Love” in 2003, and also a music video for the single “That Great Love Sound”. In “Pretty in Black” (2005) they had guest collaborations by Moe Tucker from The Velvet Underground, and Ronnie Spector. Four more LP’s came by with their label Vice: “Lust Lust Lust” (2008), “In and out of Control” (2009), “Raven in the Grave” (2011), and “Observator” (2012). In 2014 they rendered a cover song to The Doors’ “The End” for the compilatory “A Psych Tribute to The Doors”.
