Jose Quintana Bio
Jose Quintana is a professional baseball player who currently plays for the New York Mets, which competes in Major League Baseball (MLB). Born on 24th January 1989 in Arjona, Bolivar, Colombia, Quintana started his professional career as a free agent with the New York Mets. He also played for the minor league team New York Yankees. In November 2011, he joined the MLB side Chicago White Sox. He was later assigned to Birmingham Barons, which competes in the Class AA Southern League.
He was later assigned to Charlotte Knights before being named in the Sox’s Opening Day lineup for the 2017 season. In July 2017, he was traded to the Chicago Cubs, with Dyland Cease, Bryant Flete, and Eloy Jimenez, and Matt Rose moving the other way. He went on to play for the St. Louis Cardinals, New York Mets, Los Angeles Angels, San Francisco, and Pittsburgh Pirates.
