Joshua Henry Bio

Joshua Henry is an actor born on 2nd September 1984 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He is widely recognized for playing Haywood Patterson in the award-winning musical “The Scottsboro Boys” in 2010. He started his career in 2006 by co-starring in the music “Godspell” as Judas. In 2007 and 2008, he appeared in the musical “In the Heights”. In 2009, he played Tin Man in the musical “The Wiz” at the New York City Center Encores!  

From 2010 to 2011, he appeared in the sung-through rock musical “American Idiot” as favorite son at St. James Theatre. In 2012, he appeared in “Bring It On: The Musica” at the St. James Theatre. In 2016, he played Noble Sissle in the musical “Shuffle Along” and Jamie Wellerstein in the musical “The Last Five Years”. In 2007, he won the ACAA Award in the category of Outstanding Broadway Chorus for his musical “In the Heights”.
