Gvardiol began his football journey in his hometown, playing for Trešnjevka and later joining the prestigious Dinamo Zagreb youth academy. In 2019, Gvardiol made the transition to the professional level by signing with Dinamo Zagreb’s senior squad. His impressive performances quickly caught the attention of top clubs, leading to his move to RB Leipzig.
