Juliana Hatfield Bio

Juliana Hatfield is an American rock alternative singer and songwriter who was born on July 27, 1967, in Wiscasset, Maine. She started her musical career in the late 1980s as the singer of Blake Babies alongside Freda Bone and John P. Strohm. She started her solo career in 1992 when she released her first album titled Hey Babe. She soon became successful and started to get featured in important magazines and tv shows like Sassy and Spin and MTV. Later that year she formed the band Juliana Hatfield Three alongside bassist Dean Fisher and drummer Todd Phillips. They released their first album called Become What You Are in 1993, which was Juliana’s mainstream breakthrough. Her following project was as a solo artist and it was the album Only Everything in 1995, which contained the hit song “Universal Heartbeat”. She never took a break from music and continues to release new albums as both a solo artist and reforming her older bands.
