Julio Macias Bio

Julio Arturo Macias is an actor, director, producer, and writer born in Mexico City, Mexico, on March 20, 1990. He has starred in several short films, including Cupid Is Full of Shit, The Universe of the Little Things You Live In, The Show Must Go On, and The Strange Case of La Blanca Mujer. His first recurring role was in 2014 as Poncho in the TV mini-series La vida es como el cine.


Julio gained prominence for portraying Oscar 'Spooky' Diaz in Netflix's On My Block. He wrote and produced Obsidian, Baby Talk, The Lonely Walk, and Blazed to the Future. He appeared as Damian Lopez in one episode of The Rookie in 2022.


Julio was in Promised Land, Selena: The Series, Jane the Virgin, and Game Shakers. He has starred alongside Jessica Marie Garcia, Christian Serratos, Sybilla Odenheimer, and Diego Tinoco. He has appeared on Red Carpet Report, The Chuey Martinez Show, and Noches con Platanito.
