Kanoa Igarashi is a Japanese-American professional surfer who competes World Surf League Championship. He was born in Huntington Beach, California, United States, on October 1, 1997.
Kanoa began competing in surfing competitions in 2012, and he joined the World Surf League in 2016. He won his first major competition in 2019 when he won Corona Bali Protected. Kanoa competed in the inaugural shortboard surfing competition at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and he went on to win silver in the event, which also featured Ítalo Ferreira, Gabriel Medina, and Owen Wright.
