Karolina Kurkova Bio
Karolína Kurková is a Czech model and actress born on February 28, 1984 in Decin, Czechoslovakia. When she was young, she was often ridiculed by her peers because of her long legs. At 15, however, someone sent her pictures to a modeling agency and she was immediately signed my Miuccia Prada. She then started doing gigs and soon, she moved to Milan to gain more experience. By 17 years old, she had already graced the cover of American Vogue. As her career boomed, she was able to walk the runway for luxury brands such as Versace, Louis Vuitton, Valentino, Chanel, Tommy Hilfiger, and Yves Saint Laurent. However, her work for the lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret is arguably what she is most known for. She walked Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show nine times between 2000 and 2010, and in 2002, she was able to wear the brand’s ten million dollar Fantasy Bra. Kurková has also ventured into acting, appearing in My Sexiest Year (2007), G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009), FCU: Fact Checkers Unit (2010), Chuck (2010), 30 Rock (2012), and Person of Interest (2013).
