Kate Mara Bio
Kate Mara, born as Kate Rooney Mara on February 27, 1983 in Bedford, New York, is an American actress and model. 1997 marked the start of her acting career when she appeared on an episode of the popular TV series Law & Order. In 1999, she made her big screen debut when she played the role of Jessica Chandler in the movie Random Hearts. Since then, Mara had taken small and recurring roles in television shows and films, such as Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2001), Everwood (2003), Nip/Tuck (2003), Brokeback Mountain (2005), Jack & Bobby (2005), 24 (2006), 127 Hours (2010) and American Horror Story (2011). In 2013, she as Zoe Barnes on the Netflix show House of Cards. Her appearance in the show gave her her first nomination as an Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series from the Primetime Emmy Awards.
