Keith Urban Bio
Keith Lionel Urban is an award-winning Australian country singer and songwriter. Urban demonstrated outstanding talent even as a child when he started playing guitar at the tender age of 6. Growing up he drew inspiration from country greats like Dolly Parton, Don Williams, and Glen Campbell. Fanning the flames of his passion for country music, he moved to Nashville and formed The Ranch band. He earned a recording deal with Capitol Records, thanks to Urban’s spellbinding country music with flavors of Australian pub rock and released his self-titled debut album. The second album ‘Golden Road’ was released in 2002 with both albums garnering him chart-topping singles. During his career, he has released 9 studio albums and several prestigious awards including 5 Grammy awards and several nominations and 2 Academy of Country Music Awards.
