Kelly Clarkson is an American singer, songwriter, and children’s book author who rose to fame when she became the first American Idol (2002).  Her debut single, ‘A Moment Like This,’ became the best-selling single of 2002, and was featured on her debut album, Thankful (2003) which topped the Billboard 200 chart and was certified double platinum.  It also featured the huge success, ‘Miss Independent.’  Clarkson earned two Grammy Awards for her second album, Breakaway (2004).  Her fifth studio album Stronger (2011) also earned her a Grammy Award and featured the singles, ‘Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You).’  She has headlined seven tours, and has written the children’s book, ‘River Rose and the Magical Lullaby.’
