Kenny Leon Bio
Kenny Leon is a film director born on 10th February 1956 in Florida, United States. He is widely known for his outstanding career which has earned him the Drama League Award and Tony Award. He started his career as an actor in the television movie “Case Closed”, playing the role of Man Alley. His directorial debut came in 2002 with the film “Nowhere Road”. In 2008, he directed the television movie “A Raisin in the Sun”. In 2013, he directed the TV movie “The Watsons Go to Birmingham”, which starred Skai Jackson and Wood Harris.
His other directorial roles came in the television shows “Dynastuy”, “Ambitious”, “Amend: The Fight for America”, “Gossip Girl”, and “Colin in Black & White”. Leon has also directed several stage plays. His first role as a director of a play was with “A Raisin in the Sun” at Royale Theatre, Broadway. His other credits include “Tambourines to Glory”, “Holler If Ya Hear Me”, and “Children of a Lesser God”.
