Lou Rhodes, a well-known singer and composer, and Andy Barlow, a music producer, founded Lamb in 1996 in Manchester, England. They used a peculiar blend of downbeat, trip-hop, jazz, dub, breaks, and drum and bass with a significant vocal element and, in particular, some acoustic elements in their latter compositions. Lamb are recognized for their extremely experimental music, unique production aesthetic, Lou's often fervent lyrical approach, and creative music videos. Their anthem, Gorecki, which can be found on their self-titled first album, was influenced by Henryk Górecki's Symphony of Sorrowful Songs, his Third Symphony. Cotton Wool, God Bless, B Line, Gabriel, Sweet, and Wonder are more significant tracks. Lamb, Fear of Fours, What Sound, Between Darkness And Wonder, and Backspace Unwind are the group's six studio albums to date. They also released a collection titled Best Kept Secrets in 2003.
