Landon Donovan Bio
Landon Donovan is an American retired professional soccer player, born on March 4, 1982, in Ontario, California. He had a successful career both in the Major League Soccer and for the U.S. national team and is considered one of the greatest U.S. soccer players of all time. He is a four-time winner of the U.S. Soccer Athlete of the Year award and among the American players to score in more than one World Cup, together with Brian McBride and Clint Dempsey. He played alongside David Beckham on the LA Galaxy. The American retired from both club and international soccer in 2014 but came out of retirement in 2018 to play with Mexican Club León and the San Diego Sockers in 2019. He is the manager, co-founder, and vice-president of soccer operations for San Diego Loyal SC, and also a strategic advisor for Lincoln City.
