Laura Pausini Bio
Laura Pausini is an Italian ballad and pop music singer and songwriter, who has sold more than 70 million records worldwide. She is also a record producer and television personality. She first caught public attention when she won the newcomer artists’ section of the 43rd Sanremo Music Festival. Her single “La solitudine” became a hit in Italy as well as in Holland and Belgium. Her first album was released in 1993 and became an international success, selling more than two million copies.
In 94 she released “Laura”, this time selling three million copies worldwide. Her first Spanish album sold more than a million copies in Spain. She has put out twelve studio albums,as well as compilation albums. She has been on The Voice, The X factor, and her own series. She has won many awards in Italy and internationally, including four Latin Grammy Awards, a Billboard Latin Music Award, and six World Music Awards. She also the first Italian female artist to win a Grammy Award, which she won in 2006 for Best Latin Pop Album.
