An American singer, songwriter, and actress, Lisa Jane Stansfield began her career back in the 1980s. Lisa Stansfield was born on April 11, 1966, in Manchester, England. Later, her family would relocate to Hollywood where Lisa Stansfield would proceed to build her career. She began her singing career at the age of 20, after appearing in various TV shows. Lisa Stansfield, Ian Devaney, and Andy Morris formed the band called Blue Zone in 1986. The band released only one album and a couple of singles before Lisa Stansfield started her solo singing career. Her first solo album Affection with the lead single All Around the World put her on the map as a famous singer. She was nominated for two Grammy Awards and would continue to release multiple solo albums, doubling her success. She has taken home a long list of awards including the World Music Award, ASCAP Award, Women’s World Award, and Britt Awards among many others. Billboard has ranked her as the 46th successful dance artist of all time.
