Liz Callaway Bio

Elizabeth Callaway, popular as Liz Callaway, is an actress, singer, and recording artist born on April 13, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Her career began in 1981 when she debuted in Stephen Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along. She was nominated for a Tony Award for her performance in Baby. For five years, she won acclaim for her role in cats.

Liz was part of the original casts of Miss Saigon, The Three Musketeers, and The Look of Love. She has featured in Off-Broadway roles, including The Spitfire Grill (Playwrights Horizons), Brownstone (Roundabout), and Godspell.

Liz sang for Anastasia, The Swan Princess, Lion King 2: Simba's Pride, Beauty and the Beast, The Brave Little Toaster Goes to Mars, The Rewrite with The Hugh Grant, and Aladdin and the King of Thieves and The Return of Jafar. She won an Emmy Award for hosting Ready to Go. She has been nominated for Drama Desk and Academy Awards. Passage of Time, The Beat Goes On, and The Essential Liz Callaway are some of her solo albums.
