Elizabeth Mary Deignan, known as Lizzie Deignan, is an accomplished English professional cyclist renowned for her excellence in both track and road racing disciplines. She was born in Otley, West Yorkshire, England, on December 18, 1988.
In 2005, she showcased her immense talent by clinching a silver medal in the scratch race at the Junior World Track Championships, setting the stage for her remarkable career. Deignan's prowess extended to the UCI Track Cycling World Cup Classics of 2008-09, where she secured an impressive seven gold medals across three of the five meetings.
