LoLa Monroe Bio
Fershgenet Melaku, better known as Lola Monroe, is an Ethiopian born rapper, model, and actress. Lola Monroe was born on October 25, 1986, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She has started her career under the stage name of Angel Melaku, after she has moved to Washington D.C, working as a model for music videos especially for Kanye West and Trey Songz. In 2007 Lola Monroe has ended her modeling career in order to peruse a career in the music industry. In 2009, Lola Monroe released her first mixtape called Boss Bitch’s World. Since then, she has released many more mixtapes. Lola Monroe has been nominated for the Best Female Hip Hop Artist at the BET Awards of 2011.
