Louis Hofmann is a German actor. He was born on the 3d of June, 1997 in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. His first professional acting experience was in the program “Servicezeit”, on the WDR Television network. In 2009, Hoffman starred in the legal comedy “Danni Lowinski” and also in the television series “Der verlorene Vater”. In 2011, he landed his first leading role in a movie. It was in the Mark Twain’s adaptation “Adventures of Tom Sawyer”, directed by Hermine Huntgeburth. In 2015, he starred in the movie “Freistatt”, directed by Marc Brummund, and his performance earned him the Bavarian Film Prize as Best Newcomer Actor in 2015, as well as the German Actors Award in 2016. He has appeared in more than 10 movies and 5 television series. In 2016, Hoffman was casted in the very successful Netflix’s serie “Dark” as Jonas Kahnwald, one of the main characters.
