Lucas Digne Bio

Lucas Digne (born on July 20, 1993, in Meaux, France) is best known as a professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Premier League club Aston Villa and the France national team. He started his career at the youth academy of Lille OSC.

In July 2013, Digne joined Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). During his time at the club, he won numerous domestic titles, including four consecutive Ligue 1 titles from 2013 to 2016.
After spending two successful seasons at PSG, his journey took him to the Premier League. In August 2016, he signed for Everton FC for a reported fee of €20 million, making him one of the most expensive defenders in Everton's history at the time. In January 2022, Digne completed a transfer from Everton to Aston Villa.

Digne's achievements extend beyond his club performances. He has represented the French national team at various levels, including the senior team. Digne made his international debut in 2014. He was part of the French squad that won the FIFA World Cup in 2018, although he played a limited role in the tournament.
