Madonna is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and businesswoman known for her catchy songs, iconic appearance, and show-stopping performances. She is unanimously referred to as The Queen of Pop. Madonna has the distinction of writing and producing most of her songs, notably, ‘Like A Virgin,’ ‘Into the Groove,’ ‘Like a Prayer,’ ‘Frozen,’ ‘Music,’ ‘Hung Up,’ and ‘4 Minutes,’ to name a few. Acting credits include Desperately Seeking Susan (1985), Dick Tracy (1990), and Evita (1996), the latter of which she took home a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress. Madonna is the founder of Maverick and Maverick Records, and has written children’s books, and dabbled in fashion design. She has sold more than three-hundred million records worldwide, making her the best-selling female recording artist of all-time. Most recently, Madonna released her thirteenth studio album, Rebel Heart (2015), on which she collaborated with Avicii, Diplo, and Natalia Kills.
