The professional soccer player Marc-André ter Stegen was born on April 30, 1992, in Mönchengladbach, Germany. At the age of four, he started to learn and train with the local Borussia youth until 2010. In 2012 he debuted playing at an international game, Germany against Switzerland. In 2014 he signed a five years contract with the Barcelona club, and in his first season, the team won the Copa del Rey and UEFA Champions League. He has earned the Fritz Walter Bronce Medal in 2009 and 2011, the UEFA Save of the Season due to the 2014–15 season, the second place of the Best FIFA Men's Goalkeeper in 2019, and the Barça Players Award for their fair play during the 2018-19 season.
