Marina Ruy Barbosa Bio

Marina Ruy Barbosa (born June 30, 1995 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is a television actress, best known for her roles in Império, Sabor da Paixão, and Totalmente Demais. She was awarded a Brazilian Youth Award in the category of Best Breakthrough for Bites & Blows and numerous Contigo Awards for roles in Bites & Blows, Seven Sins, Beautiful, and A New Beginning. She is also extremely popular on Instagram with over 42 million followers.

Marina started her career at just 7 years old on Rede Globo. Her first significant role came in the film Xuxa and the Treasure of the Lost City. Marina's first TV participation was in 2002, where she acted as Mari, in the soap opera "Sabor da Paixão".

Throughout her career, she participated in three Emmy Award-nominated productions: the soap operas "Império" (2015), "Totalmente Demais" (2017) and the miniseries "Justiça" (2017). In theater, she acted in two plays: "Little Red Riding Hood - The Musical" (2005) and "7 - The Musical" (2008). Besides her acting career, Marina also models. She featured in more than 50 covers throughout her career, including international and national titles like Vogue and GQ's Men of the Year. In 2020, she launched "Ginger", her own clothing brand.
