Max Frost is the stage name of the American singer, songwriter, musician, and producer Matthew Frost. He was born in Austin, Texas on July 5, 1992. Frost started playing the drums at four years old and at eight learned how to play the guitar. As a teenager, he would play at various venues around his hometown Austin. He was part of the bands Joy Ride and Blues Mafia. In 2010 he started making hooks for the hip-hop artist Kydd. He started pursuing a solo career in 2012 and in 2013 was signed to the label Atlantic Records. That same year he released his debut EP titled Low High Low and followed it up in 2015 with the EP Intoxication. In 2018 he released his debut studio album titled Gold Rush. He has also collaborated with DJ Snake on the single “Broken Summer” and St. Albion on the single “Ghosting.”
