Melody Thornton Bio

Melody Thornton is an American singer/songwriter who was born on September 28 1984 in Phoenix Arizona. Her parents were Theolph and Elia Thornton. She quickly developed her soprano voice since she started singing at an early age. She later earned her a place with the Pussycat Dolls in December 2003 as the youngest member of the all-girl group. She was nicknamed Baby Doll as the youngest member of the group.

Melody rose to become the second vocalist after Nicole in the group. She provided the vocals for Buttons, Don’t Cha, Beep, Stickwitu, all tracks from Pussycat Dolls’ PCD studio album. In 2005 she was featured in the crime-comedy Be Cool film based on Elmore Leonard’s 1999 novel. Melody next appeared in Jibb’s 2006 song Go Too Far. And in 2007 she starred as Pussycat Doll in an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians titled Birthday Suit. In 2008, she featured in eight episodes of the second and the final season of Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious. The same year, she guest-starred in the sixth episode of the dance reality show Dancing with the Stars. She left the group in 2010. She later became an independent artist and released her first mixtape in 2012.
