Memoriam Bio
The Birmingham, England-based death/grind band Memoriam was formed by former members of several death metal bands, such as Bolt Thrower, Cerebral Fix, and Benediction. Karl Willets (vocals), Scott Fairfax (guitar), Frank Healy (bass guitar), and Andy Whale (drums) make up the band, which was founded in 2016. The quartet, who have been seasoned members of the death scene, first got together to jam on songs that had influenced them. It soon became clear that they had discovered a new hunger for writing material as a result of discussing their influences, and Memoriam was subsequently born. The group's debut albums, titled The Hellfire Demos, were released in 2016 and 2017. Through touring and appearing at prestigious metal festivals like the Bloodstock Open Air Festival in the UK and the Obscene Extreme Festival, both in 2016, Memoriam started to build a steadily growing fan base.
