Michael Blackson (born Jafari Ferguson) is a Ghanaian-born actor and writer. Clackson came to the US in 1985, and became best-known for his work in stand-up comedy, and in the film Next Friday (2000). Blackson has appeared in a variety of film and television appearances including BET’s Comic View Grandstand Competition (2000-2008), Showtime in Harlem (2003), 30 Rock (2005), The Dave Chappelle Show (2005), Repos (2006), The Savages (2007), Are We There Yet? (2011), and Judge Joe Brown (2011). Blackson continues to perform stand-up comedy on Def Comedy Jam, BET’s Comic View, Uptown Comedy Hour, HBO Snaps, and clubs and colleges worldwide.
