The musician is of Mexican African American descent which influenced his R&B sound. In 2004, Miguel was signed to Black Ice, only releasing his single, ‘Getcha Hands Up’ in 2006. Miguel moved over to Jive Records, releasing his first album in 2010, ‘All I Want Is You’ containing popular singles such as ‘Sure Thing’ and ‘All I Want Is You’.
