Mikaela Shiffrin was born on 13th March, 1995 in Vail, Colorado, United States. She is a professional alpine ski racer. She grew up in Vail and skiing has always been more than a hobby for her, she skied and was a part of the Snowboard Club in Vail. Shiffrin graduated and skied for Burke Mountain Academy, Vermont. She is a two-time Olympian, three-time Olympic medalist and at the age of 18, she became the youngest ever to win an Olympic gold medal in 2014. Her most recent championship experience was in 2017, where she won a gold and silver medal. Mikaela participated in the championships in 2013, 2015, and 2017 as well and became the first woman to win 3 consecutive slalom world titles in 78 years.
