Moderatto is a Mexican rock band from Mexico City that is noted for its exaggerated on-stage personas that satirize the stereotypes of 1980s glam metal. Moderatto began as a cover band in the late 1990s, and their first album, Resurrexon, was released in 2001. Since then, the band has had a lot of success, with three of their first five albums going platinum.
In the late 1990s, Moderatto was founded. Jay de la Cueva, Javier Ramrez, Marcelo Lara, Iaki Vazquez, and Olallo Rubio were the original members of the band, which began performing in Mexico City in 2001.
In 2001, they released their first commercial album, Resurrexión. Thanks to their first hit "Márchate Ya" and later "Isabel," this album immediately became successful. In November 2004, they released El Detector de Metal, which was their debut album.
