Morgan Burnett was born Morgan Mark Burnett in Memphis, Tennessee on January 13, 1989. He was the third round, 71st overall pick of the Green Bay Packers in the 2010 NFL Draft. The Green Bay Packers signed him to a four-year contract amounting to $3.5 million with an $875,100 signing bonus. During his rookie season, he helped the Packers win the Super Bowl XLV championship. He signed a contract extension for four years with the Packers in 2013.
When his contract with Green Bay Packers expired, he signed a three-year contract worth $14.5 million with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He serves as the Strong safety of the team and wears shirt No. 42 Prior to going pro; he played college football at Georgia Tech.
