At the 2018 Commonwealth Games, she clinched the silver medal, followed by a commendable fourth-place finish in the same event in 2022. Notably, Lake showcased her talent on the world stage by securing sixth place in the 2017 World Championships in Athletics and fourth place in the 2018 World Indoor Championships. Lake's journey to success began with breaking multiple age-group records in the high jump, including the UK Under-17 and Under-20 records. Her versatility as a combined events athlete was evident when she claimed both the high jump and heptathlon titles at the 2014 World U20 Championships.
