Nico Rosberg, born as Nico Erik Rosberg, on June 27, 1985, in Wiesbaden, West Germany, is a former German racing driver who is most famous for winning the 2016 Formula One World Championship for the Mercedes team. His father, Keke Rosberg is also a former racing driver and the winner of the 1982 Formula One World Championship. Nico Rosberg started his career at the age of six, with the hopes for a Formula One career. At the age of sixteen, he won the Formula BMW ADAC Championship, having previously won regional and national French championships. He first drove with Formula One in 2006 until 2009 when he moved to Mercedes along the seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher.
