Nneka Ogwumike Bio
Nnemkadi Chinwe Victoria Ogwumike, better known as Nneka Ogwumike, is a Nigerian-American professional basketball player who plays as a power forward in the WNBA. She was born in Tomball, Texas, United States, on July 2, 1990. Nneka spent her formative years playing for Cy-Fair High School and Stanford University, and she turned professional in 2012 when she was selected by the Los Angeles Sparks with the first pick in the first round of the WNBA Draft. Throughout her time with the Lo Angeles Sparks, Nneka has played alongside Te’a Cooper, Chiney Ogwumike, Liz Cambage, Jasmine Walker, and Ann Wauters. Her career highlights include WNBA Champion, WNBA MVP, WNBA Rookie of the Year, WNBA All-Star, and three gold medals with the US national team at the 2014 Turkey World Cup, 2018 Spain World Cup, and U19 Bangkok World Championship.
