NOFX is an American pop band that was formed in 1983 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California, United States. The founding members of the band were singer/bassist Fat Mike, drummer Erik Sandin, and guitarist Eric Melvin. A couple of years later, El Hefe and Steve Kidwiller joined.
The band recorded and released two 7” EPs No F-X and So What If We're on Mystic? for the Mystic label. Soon the EP The P.M.R.C. Can Suck on This was released in 1987 under Fat Mike’s label Fat Wreck Chords. Their debut full-length effort S&M Airlines dropped and was released under the legendary punk label Epitaph. Under the same label, they released other albums 1995's I Heard They Suck Live. Some of their albums also included 1990’s Ribbed, 1991’s Liberal Animation (which was recorded in 1988), and 1992’s Two Heebs and a Bean (released under White Trash). They’ve released tons of albums ever since.
