Otep Bio
Formed in 2001, Otep is female-fronted band led by Otep Shamaya from Los Angeles, California. Their music genre is metal. Together with her are band members Rob, Moke, and eVil j. They were able to sign under Capitol, where they released an EP entitled Jihad. They are considered to be mysterious, having rumours of cannibalism and mystical arts.
In 2001, they had their eighth live show during the Ozzfest, in which Otep needed to get back to studio right after to record a full-length debut entitled “Sevas Tra” and was released in 2002. Their second album “House of Secrets” was released in 2004, followed by 2007’s “Ascension.” In 2016, Otep moved to Napalm Records releasing their album “Generation Doom.”
