Precious Achiuwa Bio
Precious Ezinna Achiuwa is a professional NBA player born on September 19, 1999, in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Miami Heat selected him as the 20th overall pick in the first round of the 2020 NBA Draft. He was named to the MaxPreps Junior All-American second team while playing for St. Benedict's Prep.
Precious helped Montverde Academy reach the semifinals at the GEICO High School Nationals. He made the USA Today All-USA third team. He played in the 2019 McDonald's All-American Game and with the World team at the 2019 Nike Hoop Summit. Precious played college basketball at the University of Memphis, where he was named AAC Player of the Year as a freshman.
In 2020, he was AAC Freshman of the Year and First-team All-AAC. Precious led the American conference in total rebounds on his way to winning, finished third in the conference with 1.9 blocks per game, and led the way in defensive win shares.
