Rachel Daly Bio

Rachel Ann Daly (born 6 December 1991 in Harrogate, England) is an English professional footballer. She has played for Leeds United, Lincoln Ladies, LA Blues, and West Ham, and Aston Villa. She has played for the England national team.

Rachel started her football career with Leeds United. In 2009, she won the league cup championship in 2009 with Leeds. After a successful spell at Leeds, Rachel advanced to St John’s Varsity Football team, Red Storm where she set a record of 50 goals and 111 points, the highest in the school’s history. Following her magnificent contributions, she became the first player to earn second-team honors and was named all-America by NSCAA- National Soccer coaches association of America.

Rachel was selected by NWSL club Houston Dash as the sixth overall pick of the 2016 NWSL College Draft. In 2020, Rachel was named captain of the Dash ahead of the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup. She led the team to their first trophy in style, winning the tournament Golden Boot and named the tournament’s MVP.

On 3 September 2020, Rachel joined West Ham United on a loan. On 9 August 2022, it was announced that Daly had signed a three-year deal with Aston Villa. Internationally, Rachel has represented England at the U-15, U-17, U-19, and U-23 levels.
