Reeve Carney Bio

Reeve Carney is an American singer, songwriter, and actor born in New York City, New York on April 18, 1983. He is best known for his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the Broadway production Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. He is also known for his role as Dorian Gray on the show Penny Dreadful and Riff Raff in the film The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let’s Do the Time Warp Again. In 1993 he made his debut in film in the movie The Saint of Fort Washington and continued landing roles in the films Pom Poko, Snow Falling on Cedars, Spread, The Tempest, and Gemini. He made his debut on television in the show Dave’s World and has since had roles in the shows Dave’s World, Father of the Pride, and Penny Dreadful. Carney has also had roles in the theater productions Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, Hello Stranger, and Hadestown. He started playing the guitar at 12 years old and by the age of 15 he was playing professionally at B.B. King’s nightclub in Los Angeles. At 22, he was signed with the label Interscope and formed his jaa-rock band Carney. In 2008 they released their debut EP titled Nothing Without You and followed it up with their debut album in 2010 titled Mr. Green Vol. 1. As a solo artist, he released his debut studio album in 2016 titled Youth Is Wasted. Throughout his career he has been nominated for several awards and has won three Independent Music Awards and a Young Artist Award.
